Edmonton, Alberta ASMnews HIGHLIGHTS...100th Anniversary Gala ASM announces new version of the Corrosion Analysis Network ASM International recently updated the Corrosion Analysis Network – Performance Data Database. The release includes a software upgrade to Granta version MI6, a new "super database" framework that facilitates content updates and the following new content: More than 30 additional Environment Table records, bringing the total to more than 300. The data table now includes nearly 9,000 material-environment records, providing 25,000 combinations of corrosion behavior. New Environment Table attributes, including: • Alternative names of environments • Chemical formulas and molecular weights • Melting and boiling temperatures The Corrosion Analysis Network is a joint product of founding partners NACE International and ASM International, with content partners ASTM International and SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings. Attendees were treated to a red carpet, doormen, a fun photo booth, cocktail reception, a lively chorus, entertaining emcee David Kelly, keynote speaker Peter Diamandis (chairman and CEO of the X Prize Foundation), and cakes hidden under centerpieces.
